Other celebrities such as Maya Jama and Premier League footballer Wilfried Zaha also attended the event, sharing their secrets to success in the world of social media. In a world where young sports stars are increasingly becoming social icons, Zaha has invested in building his personal brand via platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. Zaha commented: “You watch football but you don’t know people’s personality, and through social media you can get to know players you like and admire.”
Finders Keepers singer Mabel said that she has used social media to bolster her career: “The best thing you can do is you can use it to reach out to people, I still reach out to people in terms of collaborations. Don’t be afraid to just hit anybody up and be like ‘I really like this song’ to me that’s been the most successful way how all my collaborations have come about.”
