Social campaign from GUT Miami celebrates special bonds between father's and children

This Father's Day, Visible Wireless, and creative independent agency GUT Miami, have collaborated on a unique and fun promo to capture and celebrate the special bond between fathers and their children. Creatively using word play on 'data,' the Verizon-owned phone service that offers affordable unlimited one-line plans is leveraging this milestone by offering fathers a unique gift: in addition to experiencing the joy of hearing their baby say 'dada' for the first time, fathers will get the chance to receive a brand new smartphone and a free year of Visible unlimited data.

Conveyed through a cleverly funny film featuring internet videos of children saying the word "data," Visible Wireless is inviting dads nationwide to participate on either Instagram or TikTok. Here’s how it works: 

On Instagram:

  • For one entry into the Sweepstakes via Instagram, visit @Visiblemobile on and follow its page. You must be a @visiblemobile Instagram follower to enter.
  • Post a video of your child within two years of age saying 'Dada' and include the the hashtags #DataforDada and #Sweepstakes.
  • You must have your account privacy settings set to 'Off.' 

On TikTok:

  • For one entry into the Sweepstakes via TikTok, visit @Visible and follow its page. You must be a @visible TikTok follower to enter.
  • Respond to the Sweepstakes Post in the comments section with your video of your child within two years of age saying 'Dada' using the hashtags #DataforDada and #Sweepstakes.
  • You must also have your account privacy settings set to 'Off.' 

“At Visible, a huge part of what sets us apart from competitors is our unlimited data, which, we noticed, sounds a lot like ‘dada,’” said Visible’s head of social, Vin Balducci. “So we couldn’t let Father’s Day pass without inviting dads across the country to have some fun with us, and get a chance to win a new smartphone and a free year of Visible unlimited data to boot.”

The promo was a collaborative effort with independent creative agency GUT Miami. Danny Alvarez, executive creative director at GUT Miami, drew upon his personal experience as a father to emphasise the profound emotional significance of hearing one's child utter the word 'dada' for the first time. "As a dad, the moment when your child says 'dada' for the first time is incredibly moving and fills your heart with joy,” said Danny.
