Two weeks after the Film Festival, a global panel of jurors will meet in Venice for the prestigious Venice TV Award, supported by ACT (Association of Commercial TV), egta (European Group of Television Advertising), and The IMZ International Music + Media Centre.
“As a juror, I really enjoy seeing a fascinatingly broad range of filmmaking subjects and styles on displays,” said Alan Holland, BBC Studios‘ head of specialist factual productions.
Open to production companies, broadcasters, cable networks, online platforms, and other entities within the television industry, submissions must have premiered between January 1st, 2023, and September 20th, 2024, with an entry deadline of June 30th.
Presided over by a jury of leading TV experts, the Venice TV Award will award TV shows across the categories Documentary, Best Series, Best TV Movie, News, Performing Arts, Comedy, Children/Youth, Reality TV, Light Entertainment, Program Promotion, Branded Entertainment, Sport, Best Of Technical High Quality, Cross-Platform Programming, New Talent, Best Soap/Telenovela, Animation, Cinematography, Direction.

Young creatives from around the world have as well a platform at the Venice Television Awards, where, in collaboration with Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti, talents are given the opportunity to present their work to leading international TV experts.
