Vellas Joins Somesuch & Co

He’s a Brazilian who whipped up a storm at Cannes taking home five Lions for his monochromatic Leica film ‘Soul’ – Somesuch is bringing one of this year’s breakout directors to the Europe. Director Vellas has signed with Somesuch & Co for representation in the UK and the Netherland.

Vellas – a.k.a. Felipe Vellasco – started his career at leading advertising agencies DM9DDB and Ogilvy & Mather and made the switch to directing in 2012. His most recent film, Soul, not only netted him a clutch of Lions but also bagged him two D&AD Yellow Pencils  and a slot in the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors showcase. Watch this space.
