Vellas has directed a powerful launch film for the new opus of the Ghost Recon franchise campaign from DDB Paris.
There are two versions of the new Vellas-directed Ghost Recon film, one close to five minutes long and a 2:35 version which you can view
here.
Vellas creates a sensory experience, transporting the viewer into deadly combat between Ghosts and their enemies the Wolves. Seen from the point of view of Ghost, an Elite US special operations soldier stuck behind enemy lines, the film fires on all cylinders creatively and visually. A true roller coaster ride of action and dramatic fight sequences, the film has a high production value and the direction packs a punch with references to the war and action movie genres. The intense shoot took place in the Ukraine and Kiev over a period of four days in the summer of 2019.
Vellas said: “Video games commercials give the freedom to shoot action / drama in a way I have always dreamed."
PRETTYBIRD UK founding partner Juliette Larthe commented: “When I watch Vellas’s work I am awed by his extraordinary talent, he takes me on a thrilling cinematic journey with his work, he has a singular vision illustrated with dynamically powerful storytelling. Vellas offers a valuable addition to our roster and we look forward to flying with him in London.”
