Independent's Daniel Levi shoots burnt belongings for melancholy commercial

MORE TH>N, one of the UK’s leading insurers, has launched its latest campaign focusing on the insurer’s unique Personal Project Manager (PPM) service. The campaign has been designed to shine a light on MORE TH>N’s Personal Project Managers who provide help and support to customers making a major insurance claim when the unthinkable happens to their home.

As with MORE TH>N’s previous two campaigns, ‘Help’ and ‘Name Your Price’, the third advertisement, entitled ‘Personal Project Manager’ and created by VCCP, focuses on an element of MORE TH>N’s uniquely helpful service. The advert depicts the devastating effects of a household fire and how MORE TH>N’s dedicated Personal Project Managers are on hand to help customers put their lives back together, dealing with the immediate emergency, tradesmen and project managing the repairs to ‘fix’ the customer’s life and return their property to its pre-incident state. The advert states: 'When the unthinkable happens, a MORE TH>N Personal Project Manager can help fix your home. But the first thing they think about is fixing your life.”

The 40 second spot, directed by Daniel Levi, sees a man walking through a burnt out house. The camera closes in on destroyed personal objects, such as glasses, and the damage done by the fire. A voiceover lists everyday items, such as toothbrushes, school shoes and soap –some of the small essentials a family needs to keep going when the unthinkable happens. The end voiceover highlights one of the main roles of a MORE TH>N Personal Project Manager – to help a family in the immediate aftermath of a disaster.

The TV advert will be supported by a large-scale social campaign from VCCP Kin including an online 45 second film interview with a MORE TH>N Personal Project Manager plus on-going editorial content to provide support and preventative advice across Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, as well as www.morethan.com.

Commenting on the new campaign, Hannah Fisher, MORE TH>N’s Head of Marketing said: “Our latest advertising campaign is the next, exciting chapter in our successful MORE TH>N series, where we demonstrate to customers that at MORE TH>N, they really do mean more. As with our previous two campaigns, we will be focusing on an element of MORE TH>N’s uniquely helpful service: MORE TH>N’s personal Project Managers who are on hand to help and support customers when they need to make a major insurance claim. These types of claims are frequently the result of the unthinkable happening – a fire, flood or escape of water which can often have a devastating impact on customer’s lives. Our team of Personal Project Managers help customers and their families rebuild their homes and lives.”

The first of the new advertisements debuted on national TV on Saturday 31 January, during ITV1’s Stars in Their Eyes.

Lauren Ince, VCCP’s MORE TH>N Business Director, says: “MORE TH>N Personal Project Managers have so many amazing stories about them really going above and beyond for their customers.  We wanted to capture the essence of these stories in a simple and powerful way, focusing mainly on the human side of their experiences rather than the functional details of the service. The TV is supported by a new strand of content providing more information and clarity on the specifics of the service.”
