As a thank-you to Young & Laramore for the successful rebranding work and packaging redesign they did for Upland earlier this year - sales have increased 39% since the redesign began circulation in April - CEO of the brewery, Doug Dayhoff, wanted to show his appreciation by brewing a custom beer for the agency. Upland flipped Y&L's unique Immersion Process back on the agency, using its own team to immerse itself in Y&L culture and understand the agency in an effort to carefully craft a beer that captures its essence. Y&L joined in on the fun and created the bottle label and packaging.
Client Dayhoff dubbed the beer ‘Collaboration Supernova.’ A Belgian Dubbel, the beer is complex in flavor, yet relatively easy to drink and share – much like the agency and the relationship that inspired
it. The creative design on the label and packaging represents the collaborative effort and demonstrates how Upland and Y&L acted as one team throughout the process.
Y&L recently hosted an end-of-year celebration and Upland supplied the custom brew for the event, where the beer and packaging was unveiled.
Y&L is planning to use the remaining cases of the co-branded, limited-release beer as holiday gifts for the rest of the agency’s client base and employees. Collaboration Supernova won't be available for sale to the public.
