Untold Studios announces the signing of Balan Evans and Eleanor Hann. The pair join the Untold Music roster and will be represented internationally.
Balan is an experimental filmmaker able to combine the honesty of documentary filmmaking with a desire to make boundary pushing visuals that grab people’s attention. Most recently, he captured a mesmerizing live performance of Brit Rising Star winners, The Last Dinner Party, earning him a UKMVA nomination. His work for Rondo Mo, as well ‘Queen Harold’, a compelling snapshot of a joyful, resilient queer couple in West Africa, made in partnership with Dazed, are both Vimeo Staff Picks. He’s also worked with renowned musicians such as Paolo Nutini and Sigrid.

Eleanor has been making waves with her raw and distinct filmic aesthetic. With a background in choreography, Eleanor has a unique ability to tell stories through captivating movement. Her work often covers themes around female empowerment. Her cinematic short, ‘Woman’, looks at the relationship between women, space and dance to share stories around motherhood, race, inequality and queerness. Recent collaborations include an atmospheric visual for D Double E ft. Hamzaa and Ten Billion entitled, ‘Lifeline’, as well as a series of films for rap artist, Miss Lafamilia.
