Ben Golik joins Uncommon’s CX practice as creative partner following his departure as CCO at M&C Saatchi London last year. With over 20 year’s experience, Ben’s integrated background blends experiential with the creation of complex customer programmes. He has led work across brands such as Waitrose, John Lewis, Starbucks, Nando’s and the NHS.
During his creative career, Ben has created the iconic Nando’s Card and Waitrose’s ‘pointless’ loyalty scheme, sold a silver rabbit for $91m and launched the UK’s first LGBTQ+ museum, Queer Britain.
Uncommon Experience Studio believes the truth of any brand is in the customer experience. They’re shaking up the formulaic and over industrialised CX category — using the technology that has mechanised marketing and suffocated creativity to spark famous experiences for brands. The studio works across CRM and CX for British Airways and IAG Loyalty, including Avios rewards and BA’s Executive Club. Since launching in 2021, the studio has quadrupled in size due to growing demand in the space.
Uncommon Experience Studio have also made standout work including turning a traditional logo design brief into an innovative NFT project for start-up Peepl and creating a web-based app, The Yellow Sticker Cookbook, to help the nation make the most of their weekly shop during the cost of living crisis.
Ben was CCO at Lida before the company merged with M&C Saatchi in 2020 — he then continued this role and went on to creatively lead the integrated shop. Before working at Lida, Golik was the UK executive creative director at Rapp for two years, and prior to that he was ECD at Kitcatt Nohr.
Ben’s move to Uncommon welcomes a reunion between the founding team of the experience practice — with Jonathan Goodman (founding partner), David Yates (founding partner) and Margaux Sloan (managing partner) all previously working with Ben across several agencies in the past, including Wunderman, Kitcatt Nohr Alexander Shaw and LIDA.
Ben Golik, creative partner at Uncommon Experience Studio said: “I’m thrilled to join the Uncommon team and be reunited with people I’ve loved and respected for many years. We’ll hit the ground running doing what we do best. Taking brands into customer spaces in surprising ways, and making things in weird shapes to fit new and emerging spaces.”
Jonathan Goodman, founding partner at Uncommon Experience Studio added: “As the Experience Studio continues to grow, we’re overjoyed to be welcoming Ben. He brings that special blend of creativity coupled with a fierce desire to get things into the real world.”view more - Hires, Wins & BusinessUncommon, Wed, 17 May 2023 13:37:00 GMT
