Creatives have created tools and downloadable artwork to help everyone protesting on Friday to make your point heard
As the Climate Emergency grows ever more dire, the efforts of striking schoolchildren, led by Greta Thunberg, grown ever more vocal. This Friday, everyone who cares about the planet is being invited out onto the streets to join the movement. Creatives across the industry have hard at work making tools for protesters to use to amplify their voices and make an impression. We've compiled a bunch of creative resources for you to use.

OOO

Uncommon Creative Studio have done the writing so you don’t have to. Use your out of office message to reaffirm your decision to strike – and spread the message of the climate emergency. Who knows, you might pick up a few stragglers.

Out of Office
Out of Time
Why are you at work today?
The world is burning.
Our children have been screaming fire.
While we’ve covered our ears.
Business as usual.
I’m out of office today,
striking with them.
Join us.

Create and Strike

The Create and Strike platform is a central hub of information and resources for anyone in the creative industries who will be striking and for those who want to contribute in other ways. The platform has been built by Iris but over 80 agencies have signed up. It has also garnered support from Glastonbury’s Emily Eavis, Tate Modern’s Frances Morris and Rankin. Workshops will also be held on Tuesday (17th) at Homerton’s Children’s Scrap Project, and Wednesday (18th) evening at MayDay Rooms. And for the approval-hungry among you, send a photo of you at the strikes with a creative message in hand and you can also enter your creative disobedience into a Create and Strike award show.
Sign your business up here.

Mother Knows Best

Get your hands dirty on Thursday (19/9) and join the crew at Mother to create your own banners and placards. They'll be holding hourly banner-making workshops from 5pm onward in their basement at the Tea Building on London's Shoreditch High Street. Book your places here: 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm.

#FridaysForFuture

There are downloadable bits of artwork to bring along to your local #ClimateStrike protests on Friday 20th and Friday 27th, as well as bits of digital art to share socially and a host of specific programmes and ideas to help you make a difference in your workplace and out on the streets.
