Thomas Thomas Signs Director Alex Dunning

Creative-turned-director Alex Dunning has joined Thomas Thomas for UK representation.

Alex worked for ten years as an art director for Weapon7, Grey London and McCann, picking up a Lion for Mercedes Benz and a D&AD along the way.

As a creative, and working alongside top directors, Alex was hungry to know about all stages of direction and learnt how to turn an advertising idea into a great piece of film. 

It is the combination of creativity and craft that caught Thomas Thomas’ attention as Kevin Thomas explains: “I directed a shoot for Alex when he was a creative at Grey, he had such an obvious hunger for film making, film craft and storytelling. I always knew he would end up behind the camera.” 

Alex is eager to continue to expand his horizons. With a passion for photography, an incredible eye for detail and a love of storytelling Alex brings an aesthetic to everything he shoots. 

As managing director, Philippa Thomas says: “Alex is a really smart creative, who brings stories alive with craft, passion and truth. He is also a delight to work with and I am thrilled he is joining us.”
