UnderWonder Content has announced that internationally-renowned photographer and director Thom Kerr has joined their multi-talented roster.
Thom Kerr is known for his bold experimentation and vivid use of colour, bridging the realms of fashion and fine art with his work. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, specializing in writing and directing, Thom freelanced as a stylist, set designer, and writer for numerous publications, collaborating with an eclectic set of photographers and directors while developing his own direction. Officially stepping behind the camera a few years later, he developed a successful photographic career.
Thom’s dynamic folio has attracted an international audience with advertising and magazine commissions worldwide. With experience working across all aspects of imagery, he is often asked to consult with brands, personalities, and publications on the creative direction of each assignment. While many artists follow a more conventional path of working within the defined aesthetics of music and fashion, Thom continues to break away from industry expectations by delivering visuals that are bold and forward thinking in their approach. Relocating to Los Angeles in 2017, he began translating his stylistic imagery into eye-catching visuals for dynamic artists, including Christina Aguilera, Doja Cat, Bebe Rexha, Iggy Azalea, and Jason Derulo.
“I strive to infuse my work with the brilliant diversity and wonder that I see in the world around me,” says Kerr. “I’m thrilled to join UnderWonder Content’s award-winning roster, and I can’t wait to embark on my next creative chapter with them.”
“Thom’s bold, color-saturated aesthetic that grabs your attention and doesn’t let go,” says UnderWonder Content partner and director Frank Borin. “His unique vision, passion for the craft, and incredible discipline are a very welcome addition to our roster.”
The signing is another mark of growth for UnderWonder, who also recently signed directors Troy Roscoe
and Jensen Noen to their roster. UnderWonder also recently garnered a record-breaking number of wins at the U.K. MVAs, including Ukrainian director Tanu Muino becoming the first woman to win the coveted Best Director Award. In September, UnderWonder and Tanu also picked up wins for Video of the Year and Best Director at the U.S. MTV VMAs, and both are currently nominated for a Grammy––the awards will be announced in January.
UnderWonder Content’s roster of director talent also includes Tusk, Troy Roscoe, and Beeple, who made history and headlines earlier this year with a record-breaking $69M sale of his NFT Everydays: The First 5,000 Days by Christie’s auction house. Their success in the music video realm and status as a pop culture influencer is also attracting projects in the commercial, film, and branded entertainment space.
