‘Skydiamond’ founded by the green entrepreneur Dale Vince has set out to revolutionise the way we utilise energy. In 2015 his radical and progressive approach to energy led him to explore the ways in which we capture carbon.
From this, Skydiamond was born. The precious stones are created from a high temperature paired with a high pressure environment in this environment the carbon atoms combine to form the diamond. At Skydiamond CO₂ from the air and hydrogen from the rain are combined with biological single-cell life forms (the equivalent of a diamond sourdough starter) in a process to create methane, which is fed into diamond mills with a dash of nitrogen, heated, polished and set into recycled precious metals.
Treacle Seven met with Skydiamond to bring their innovative approach to jewellery to life, Treacle Seven’s extensive creative talent was called on to develop a campaign that captures not only the beauty and luxuriousness of their product but the positive impact on the environment and the future of our planet.
Treacle Seven partnered with the team and Dave Whayman the director from Affixxius on this project where together they captured the unique presentation of SkyDiamond jewellery. Authentically showing the jewellery on hands, wrists, around necks and in the real-world No sterile shelves or display cases, This isn’t about flaunting wealth; it’s about aligning with the wearer and the Earth. Targeted at an eco-conscious market who’s manifesto aligns with the advertiser. A better future.
