The Manchester based production house, part of the Tag family, has worked with Ardmore Agency to deliver a new hard-hitting film for #EndingTheHarm campaign - a campaign from ‘Northern Ireland Executive’s Tackling Paramilitarism, Criminality and Organised Crime Programme’ which aims to highlight the dangers of illegal money lending linked to paramilitary gangs. The latest film was shot again by The Gate’s rostered director Michael J Ferns and features the same main talent from the first film. As this film was a continuation from the first it was imperative to have the same actress, as well as the same look and feel to continue the story.
Similar to the previous film this one builds drama and tension through the actors performances, camera work and sound design, in order to tell the stories of victims who are struggling to make ends meet and being preyed upon by illegal money lenders.
Paul Bowen, creative director at Ardmore commented, “The Gate Films once again have delivered such a powerful and emotive film for Ardmore and the NI Department of Justice. Yes, they make the process easy and yes, they work really hard to ensure you don’t have to, but (along with their director Michael J Ferns) they make it better. We can’t thank you enough.”
The films launched on Tuesday 10th October in Northern Ireland during Bake Off.
