In a campaign that encapsulates fun, spontaneity, and hopeful inspiration, LeSean Harris partners with Disney once again to take us on a journey through the eyes of Black families. As they explore all that Disney has to offer, from princesses to rocket ships to fireworks, they discover there’s something for every adventurer.
Out of agency Cashmere, the Disney Titan campaign celebrates and champions Black culture. Ushering in a new chapter for the legacy brand, these cinematic and exuberant spots make a powerful statement, viewing the parks through the eyes of these multigenerational families.
Magic is synonymous with Disney, and Harris brings childlike excitement and wide-eyed wonder to the films, infusing them with a flavour and nuance that authentically reflects the characters. “Being able to capture Black joy at Disney, creating films with a charisma and attitude that has not often been seen before, was an honour,” said LeSean. With bold camera moves, clever transitions, and expressive close-ups Harris creates an energetic and entertaining campaign.
This campaign is an invitation to BIPOC guests, letting them know that Disney welcomes them with open arms. Even more, it is a human story about the memorable experiences these families are sharing together.
“One of the reasons Fela was founded was to combat the lack of diversity in the advertising industry, and to create emotionally and visually powerful work that reflects the world more accurately,” LeSean added. “These spots were created by a diverse, inclusive crew who brought sincerity, nuance, and authenticity to the work.”
