NatWest have appointed The& Partnership as their creative agency of record. The appointment will end NatWest’s 20 year relationship with M&C Saatchi. In August 2020, The&Partnership London won the 2020 Natwest campaign, pitching again M&C Saatchi and Karmarama. At the time M&C Saatchi remained Agency of Record.
The&Partnership has a long-standing relationship with RBS (owners of Natwest) through its in-house studios at RBS HQ, Edinburgh.
"We can confirm The&Partnership London has been appointed as NatWest’s creative agency of record. After a short process with our roster agencies during the summer, The&Partnership were appointed to lead on our 2020 activities. We’ve loved the passion, enthusiasm and energy with which they’ve approached this brief so it makes sense to continue this partnership and appoint them as our official creative agency of record. We thank M&C for all of their work over more than two decades for NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland." said a Natwest spokesperson. They added "This will not impact the work of M&C Saatchi Sports & Entertainment who will continue to lead on sponsorship activity for NatWest, most notably on NatWest’s long standing cricket partnership."
Sarah Golding, CEO, The&Partnership UK said “NatWest is a real bank, and a real brand in a world of emerging challengers. We couldn’t be more delighted to help NatWest fulfil its huge potential in a rapidly changing market”.
