George Nguyen joins The Talent Business’ New York Office as Managing Partner of Strategy and Chief Growth Officer in January. He will be responsible for driving the US Strategy Practice, delivering transformational senior strategists and strategic leaders for The Talent Business’ clients in both the creative agency and client side space. He will also have an overall growth remit in the US. A Group Planning Lead at R/GA New York, and previously Managing Director of McKinney New York, George also did a lengthy stint with TBWA in both North America and Asia. He will work alongside Maria Gianoutsos, The Talent Business’ North America Managing Director, and Global Chairman & CEO, Gary Stolkin.
The Talent Business’ New York Office has also hired Erin Noel, an accomplished Leo Burnett brand strategist, and Debra Dean, who worked at Mother, Sub Rosa and Brooklyn Brothers. They both join as Talent Strategists. Erin will work alongside George Nguyen in the Strategy Practice, and Debra will work alongside Maria Gianoutsos on creative searches and Laura Stroup, the Managing Partner responsible for Client Service, on a range of account management roles.
The Talent Business is investing heavily in their US presence. Recently they announced the appointment of AKQA’s International Talent Director, Andy Wardlaw, as Managing Partner directly responsible for spearheading a significant expansion in The Talent Business’ ability to deliver the world’s best ‘creative tech’ leaders. Andy will also play a key role in opening the eighth office in The Talent Business’ global network in Los Angeles.
“George brings a mix of strategic and commercial experience that’s going to be invaluable as we embark on an aggressive growth strategy for the US in 2016. As our New York office continues to go from strength to strength, and with our LA office soon to open, George will play a crucial role," says Gary Stolkin, Chairman and CEO, The Talent Business
George Nguyen, Managing Partner, The Talent Business, says: "I’ve seen first-hand how the right person in the right situation can dramatically change the trajectory of a business. I want to leverage this experience and chose The Talent Business because they’re the only global executive search firm that specialises in marketing and communications. More leaders of creative businesses are hired through them worldwide, than any other company in this space.”
