Michaela Futcher joins as planning director based out the Sydney office after having recently departed Droga 5 after nearly four years as senior strategic planner, and most recently strategy director.
She is a much-respected and awarded planner having won gongs for her work on Tiger Beer, Qantas and United Nations. She drinks tea, speaks Mandarin and can draw.
Andrew Reeves takes up the role of communications director in Melbourne, bringing with him extensive experience in creative and media agencies alike, including most recently, Naked.
His concoction of communication and brand thinking will have him cracking integrated problems across a range of Royals clients. Andrew is good at both Powerpoint and Keynote and signs up to betas for everything.
“We feel privileged to have two such highly talented, strategic heads joining us at a really exciting time in The Royals’ evolution,” said strategic partner, Dave King.
“Both could have chosen from a bunch of different places to further their careers but I think, as an agency, our ambitions aligned with theirs and they picked up on the infectious enthusiasm that exudes from a creative agency in a time of real momentum,” he said.

These appointments come on back of recent continued business growth including Sensis, Deakin Uni, MRC, Momentum Energy and Google.
