The Reids Expand Their Anonymous Content Representation to US

The Reids have collaborated with global talent and established brands including Nike, UMG and Apple

Directing duo The Reids, comprised of brothers Will and Ed Reid, have expanded their relationship with production company Anonymous Content for US representation for commercials, branded entertainment and music videos. Last year, the South East London born and bred duo joined for representation in the UK and quickly went on to be nominated for Best New Director at both the Ad Age Creativity Awards and AICP, as well as winning Best New Director at last year’s UKMVA Awards and being named to the One Show’s Young Guns of most talented creatives 30 and Under.

An inseparable hive mind of reference points and film taste. The Reids’ filmmaking style is rooted in their love of documentary photography, striking the balance of presenting reality and heightening it. Their protagonist-led filmmaking that harnesses real life through an aesthetic lens is perfectly encapsulated in their music video for James Blake’s 'Thrown Around'. A defiant mix of surrealism and docu-style, captured on a custom 360 rig, sees the newly independent artist wading through the worst 24 hours of his life.

“Will and Ed’s auteur spirit and razor-sharp skill for conceptual visual storytelling are wired straight into our DNA,” says Anonymous Content Managing Director and Executive Producer Eric Stern. “Big things are coming — we’re just getting started.”

The Reids have collaborated with global talent and established brands including Nike, UMG and Apple, with whom they have worked on several creative projects.

Their collaboration with the electronic musician Mura Masa has seen them make three videos together over the last year. One of these videos, the UKMVA nominated 'Rise', shot on the iPhone 15 Pro as part of Apple’s #ShotoniPhone campaign, leading Apple to provide the duo with iPhones to shoot several other projects on. Recently, they met with Apple CEO Tim Cook to preview their new photography book 'The One You Have With You,' featuring photos that were all shot on iPhone over the course of a year.
