The Quarry is excited to announce that Ben Cowan and Victoria Man have both been promoted into their roster of editors!
Ben and Victoria have built up stellar showreels consisting of an eclectic mix of promo and branded work, all whilst being mentored by editors such as Sam Jones, Scott Crane, Paul Watts, Julian Tranquille, Jonnie Scarlett, Bruce Townend, Sylvie Landra and many more.
Having worked with Ben and Vic for years, partner Ben Campbell said: “Ben and Vic have been with me since our Cut+Run days in Soho, and seeing them both grow into such quality and idiosyncratic editing talent here at The Quarry is such a joy.”
About Vic, Ben said: “She has moved through the ranks fast and shows not just a mature creative approach, which bely her years, but an intelligence and enthusiasm in the way she approaches a project like only a fair, lucky few have.”
Of Ben, he said: “Ben joined as a high quality cutting assist and has proved his mettle time and again and has begun to cut up his own style as a formidable editor."
Ben has edited commercial spots and content for brands such as Uber Eats, Barclaycard, and Vogue, as well as promos for Band Of Skulls, Izzy Bizu, and Sad Night Dynamite, with his video for Sad Night Dynamite being nominated at the UKMVA’s in 2022.
Victoria, a BRIT School alumni, has edited for big names such as Swarovski, eBay and British Airways, with her promo & short film work having a focus on choreography and narrative, as seen in her edits for Cuckoo Song, Vraell, Winter Coat and Wife Is A Four Letter Word.
Ben Cowan said: “I'm really pleased to take this next step in progressing my career and it's an honour to see my name amongst so many experienced and talented editors. I'm excited to not only try and earn my place on the roster, but hope to share the knowledge and insight I've gained with the next wave of talent coming through.”
Vic Man said: “I've been extremely lucky to have worked with a lot of incredibly talented people. I'm so grateful to everyone that believed in me from the get-go, and for all the opportunities they have given me over the years! 11-year-old me would be screaming with excitement right now, and to be honest present-day me is screaming too.”
“It’s always a joy to see team members being promoted, and with Ben and Vic, the opportunity couldn’t be more deserved,” said Paul Watts, founder and editor at The Quarry. “We’re looking forward to seeing all their future successes and collaborations.”
