Camelot and adam&eveDDB invite players to embrace the festive season through a series of special free screenings of an iconic Christmas rom-com

Following the launch of an integrated Christmas campaign created by adam&eveDDB for National Lottery operator Camelot – which included the heart-warming launch ad ‘A Christmas Love Story’ – The National Lottery is inviting players to fully embrace the festive love through a series of special free screenings of an iconic Christmas rom-com.

As one of the final components in the six-week, multi-channel campaign, ‘The National Lottery hosts Love Actually at the cinema’ will see a series of special free screenings – including a pair of tickets, drinks and snacks – exclusively for National Lottery players, at hundreds of participating cinemas across the UK on Friday 23rd December.

Every time someone plays The National Lottery, they’re helping to raise over £30 million a week for Good Causes – from communities, sports, arts, heritage projects all the way through to the film industry. So, as well as bringing people together to share some Christmas joy, ‘The National Lottery hosts Love Actually at the cinema’ is also a festive thank you to players for their continued support.

Camelot’s head of marketing communications, Anna McInally, said, “This latest campaign is all about The National Lottery’s ambition to bring people together. We’re delighted we’ve already got people talking about the lucky, love-struck couple in our latest ad. And now we’re giving National Lottery players the opportunity to spread the love by treating their friends and family to a free screening of another Christmas love story – capping off our multi-faceted ad campaign with yet more feel-good moments. Love really is all around!”

All players need to do is head to NationalLotteryHosts.com – along with any National Lottery ticket, Scratchcard or Instant Win Game ticket – to claim a pair of cinema tickets, and selected drinks and snacks.

The money for this initiative comes from a National Lottery promotional fund. It is not being funded by money allocated for National Lottery Good Causes or by Camelot.
