o Place of birth: Hammersmith
o Hometown: Ealing
o Staycation: Scotland - my wife is from beautiful Fife, near St Andrews. Sadly I’m not a golfer though so I will forever remain an outsider!
o Vacation: France. I’m half French, I barely understand a word, but cheese and wine are my happy place!
o Pet: Our cat Jimmy. Fluffy and angry - a deadly combo.
o Place of work: Forever Audio in Tottenham Court Road, with the odd trip to see our New York team.
o Place of workout: On my bike up Ivinghoe Beacon. Love it.
o Side project: Much to the amusement of my colleagues, I built a small N Scale train set during lockdown. After that Rod Stewart came out and admitted he was into trains too… I’m not sure if that makes it better or worse though. Ha!
o Artist: Harriet Whyatt – discovered at Battersea Affordable Art Fair one year. She paints incredible oil portraits of Roma.
o Musician: Currently loving Tallest Man On Earth, but I listen to anything and everything. I recently rediscovered the song ‘Frank Sinatra’ by CAKE. It always puts a smile on my face.
o Commercials / music video director: Anything by Chris Cunningham.
o Film director: Martin Scorsese – are they films or music videos? I saw an interview with him a while back and he said he’ll often have the music in his head before he’s shot the scene. Genius.
o Photographer: Sebastião Salgado – silvery amazingness (I won't be writing for The New Yorker anytime soon!)
o Film: Withnail & I. Yes Sam, it is funny.
o Series: Alan Partridge's Mid Morning Matters.
o Commercial: Chris Cunningham’s Mental Wealth for PlayStation.
o Board game: Trivial Pursuit
o Book: Anything by John Grisham. When I was a kid I wanted to be a lawyer, I was a bit odd!
o Podcast: Parenting Hell – I have three of my own, so sometimes it’s a little too close to home!
o Breakfast: Mushrooms at any time of the day in a big pile, with lots of garlic. And repeat… a bit like the garlic!
o Restaurant: Hawksmoor for steak (with mushrooms).
o Cheap bite: My wife and I eat a lot of salad, which we love. I think she might be a rabbit.
o Working lunch: Bang Bang Vietnamese Canteen near the studios is incredible.
o Favourite dish: Pad Thai with a whole fried egg on top. Heaven.
o Signature dish: I make a very good lasagne – with cottage cheese instead of bechamel, it stops it becoming a sloppy mess.
o Guilty pleasure: Soreen with peanut butter, although you should probably be on a good hike at the time!
o Booze: Rioja (with mushrooms).
o Not booze: A while ago we bought a SodaStream for the kitchen, which takes me back… anything from that really. It’s probably the best invention of the last 50 years, never mind the iPhone!
o Phone: iPhone
o Computer: MacBook
o TV: It’s a fairly small LG… I’m not allowed a big one as my wife thinks they’re ugly. Damn it!
o Headphones: Jabra Elite, they’re amazing.
o Soundsystem: Studio 7 at work, it’s got 19 speakers in it ;)
o Pen / pencil: Avoid at all costs… I’m so used to using a computer I get palpitations when I handwrite anything anymore! What have we become?!
