Not a lot of offices can boast having an incredible exhibition space though Tag is one. Located in London’s Soho, it’s bright and airy: perfect for hosting and showcasing a number of events and exhibitions across different mediums. That’s exactly what Tag has been doing over the past year as it has focused on making the space a hub for creativity once more and getting staff, clients, and any friends of Tag through the door to enjoy and celebrate what’s on show.
It all started in November 2023 with photographer Raymond Mfon’s 'EWAFE' show, which documented his travels in Uganda, and continued with the first 'Out of Office' exhibition last year, which celebrated some of Tag’s creative women. The exhibition presented a variety of talent, from photography and painting to ceramics, dance and videography, showcasing the diverse creativity at Tag.
Today, Tag is building on that first Out of Office (OOO) show by making it into a series and developing the idea further by hosting a series of exhibitions across the year which celebrate the work and talents of even more members of the team.
The Out of Office exhibition series will change every few months, featuring one person and/or theme at time. The first show celebrates Diane Griffiths, finance projects and process manager, who won The British Art Prize last year in the People’s Choice Award category. Her artworks will be unveiled over breakfast on April 3rd. The collection, titled ‘The Colour of Night’, includes her award-winning painting, ‘Driving Home’.
“I am delighted to have this opportunity to have 19 artworks featured in the ‘Out of Office’ exhibition at Tag. After winning ‘The People’s Choice Award’ 2024 in The British Art Prize, I’m already very thankful to my work colleagues for supporting me and by voting for my painting ‘Driving Home’, which contributed towards the win. To be able to take this further and share my art as part of this exhibition is very special. It feels like a thank you as well as a celebration, which is amazing.
“Every artist dreams of a solo exhibition, and while this isn’t your typical exhibition (which I love), it’s every bit as exciting and humbling. I’m very grateful to Tag for this opportunity, it’s surprisingly rare for an artist to see so many of their artworks on the wall like this, I know it’s going to look amazing and I can’t wait!,” comments Diane.
Other upcoming exhibitions will include Rik Grant, transcreation partner, who will showcase his street photography, and a plan to host a summer photography competition which will then spotlight the 19 best entries from late summer onwards.
See all the work from the latest ‘Out of Office’ exhibition in person at Tag’s Soho HQ between 3rd April-5th June 2025.
