The partnership between GATE+ and the 'NOW THEN' podcast began in late 2023. Ozzie and Craig were looking for a space to record their episodes and host industry events when GATE+ offered its studio. This collaboration stemmed from a shared belief in fostering open and honest conversations within the creative community. “We believe that by providing a platform for these discussions, we can help creatives navigate the evolving landscape of the industry together,” says James Niklasson, director of creative production, GATE+.
The space in Tag’s HQ is perfectly suited to events –
something the team have been doing more of over the last year, and now they’re
keen to add podcast recordings to the menu.
“Our Soho space is the ultimate destination for live events, and in this case, our first ever live podcast. A creative hub designed for connection and collaboration, with top-tier acoustics, state-of-the-art audio gear, and a bright, welcoming vibe (plus a rooftop terrace perfect for summer), its where open dialogue thrives. Our dedicated team is always on hand to ensure everything runs seamlessly, and we are all passionate about hosting industry events because they’re vital for fostering growth, sparking ideas, and navigating the ever-evolving creative landscape. By bringing people together, we’re building a stronger, more connected creative community,” says Anastasia Brand, marketing director EMEA.
Aside from providing the space, GATE+ is also involved in how the podcast comes together through production. The team assists with post-production by editing and refining each episode to ensure it maintains the highest level of audio quality. This attention to detail allows for a more polished and engaging listening experience for the audience.
“We offer an ideal environment for podcasting. Our studio is meticulously designed with soundproofing in mind, guaranteeing crystal-clear audio for every recording. We are fully equipped with professional-grade microphones, mixers, and all the necessary tools to bring your podcasting vision to life, including a talented team that always ensure a seamless recording experience. We believe that our space is the perfect setting for creatives to share their stories and engage in meaningful discussions with their audience,” adds the GATE+ team.
The partnership between NOW THEN and GATE+ is only just getting started, ,and both teams are excited to continue collaborating and leading the discussion on the craft and challenges facing the filmmaking industry.
