Stacia Akaba Returns to Big Buoy

After sculpting the first eleven years of her career at Big Buoy, Stacia re-joins the senior team in the role of executive producer.

Most recently, Stacia was in an EP role for Envy Advertising, where she was responsible for driving new business and developing the company presence, as well as producing for high-profile clients such as Stella McCartney and Snakehips. 

Stacia’s natural eye and feel for good creative talent is something that has developed healthily over the years. “There are so many hot new directors and creatives popping up all over the place”, Stacia comments, “I think we’re much more spoilt for choice nowadays-but also have the technology and platforms to be more cost-effective and cleverer with our ideas-it’s inspiring”.  

“The team at Big Buoy are like a family to me”, Stacia continues, and although she has learnt a great deal from testing the waters elsewhere at Envy, Rushes, Deluxe and Filament Post respectively, she is very happy to be back to the place she calls “home”.

“Big Buoy is a special place. It delivers exactly what it says it will…and then some” Stacia adds. “It’s not often you get to work with such a talented bunch of creatives who make everybody feel special and important in the process…no matter who you are or what your role is. It’s very refreshing and extremely rare”.  

Stacia is keen to get stuck into the new Bigger Buoy ship and will play an integral part in helping the team launch some exciting new initiatives later this year.
