Splash Studios published its new colour reel this week. The film features work by the company’s in-house colourist Luke Osborne. The Amsterdam based grader’s style is characterised by his ability to draw out depth from any palette. His texture work ranges from seamlessly replicating rich velvet 16 mm aesthetics to emphasising sharp and clean digital looks that perfectly accentuate natural landscapes and varieties of skin tones.
The reel features familiar faces like David Bowie and Priyanka Chopra for clients such as Nike, Adidas, Adobe, Bulgari, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, and Johnnie Walker. Music videos, commercial work, and short films are all on display in the reel.
"It's been so rewarding to see two years of my work wrapped up into a tight 60 seconds. It stands as a reminder of just how many amazing projects and clients have come through our door at Splash,” said Luke.
The colour arm of Splash Studios is just one cog in the machine of their full post operation. In addition to grade, Splash represents a roster of 15 editors alone, along with post producers, VFX artists, animators, sound designers, and DITs. This film in particular was cut by Splash founder Rigel Kilston and assisted by emerging editor Neal Koning.
