Last week ‘TAT TAT’ by SFB featuring Memphis Depay & Quincy Promes was released. Robin van Geemen’s directorial vision was brought to life by Isabella van Ende of I’m Productions. Colourist Luke Obsorne textured the video to perfection with his signature grains and halations.
The film, which has already racked up over 120,000 views, was shot in four different countries. Director Robin van Geemen said: “Frenna called me to make the music video for this track, he told me he wanted to flex big with private planes and stuff. That’s not necessarily my style. So, I said if we put a twist on it, like having scenes and shots that were especially composited more and obviously prioritizing the color grade, I was down. For me the 16mm look is what makes the video. There are only a few graders in the Netherlands that can really pull off that digital to 16mm look. So it was really necessary to find a grader that can really pull this off."
Luke Obsorne has worked in post production for five years and is the in-house colour grader at Splash Studios in Amsterdam.
