No one takes Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day more seriously than Sarah Lund. The television detective from hit crime thriller The Killing is as famous for her sleuthing as for her knitwear. This Christmas, the cast of the hit crime series has joined forces with Save the Children in a spoof video aimed to make the world better with a sweater for the charity’s annual Christmas Jumper Day on Friday December 13th.
The entertaining video was made by Contagious Content for Save the Children and sees Lund, with original footage from the first series, donning her famous wool jumper and threatening non-jumper wearing colleagues for failing to mark Christmas Jumper Day.
Founder of Contagious Content, Paul Weiland, says, ““The agency is proud to support the charity’s annual event, and Sarah Lund is the perfect fit when spreading the Christmas Jumper Day message, as her knitwear has become so iconic.”
In the video, Sarah Lund is asking members of the public across the UK to help Save the Children “make a killing” on December 13th and join the likes of Myleene Klass, Julie Walters, Erin O’Connor, Lauren Laverne, Arlene Philips and Dom Jolly and support Christmas Jumper Day. All you have to do is wear a festive jumper on December 13th in exchange for a £1 donation or more to raise money for Save the Children’s work across the world.
