Ross McDowell and Sophie Muller Direct Eerie New Promo for The Dead Weather

Ross McDowell of directing duo Ben & Ross has teamed up with pop video heavyweight Sophie Muller to create this awesomely eerie video for Impossible Winner. In the film, rock super group The Dead Weather play freak show captives jailed in a travelling boxcar.

Book-ended by the same shot of their thuggish captors, the scene depicts the band mates in a state of nervous despair. The promo features bassist Jack Lawrence with six fingers, Jack White with three legs and three arms, Dean Fertita with elongated fingers and vocalist Alison Mosshart looking into a mirror which reflects the back of her head.

Captured by DOP Roger Pistole, the remaining jail cells are filled with other troubling characters, such as a man weeping over his dead bride and young girl with rag doll scars taking it all in. Not to mention the dreadful sight of their raging captors, whose mouths take over their entire face.....
