Animation directors Kyra Buschor and Constantin Paeplow, the creative duo behind the popular Rollin' Wild series, are back with a unique offering released on World Turtle Day. Stepping away from their usual short-form episodes, they're presenting a special feature-length animated experience in the captivating style of slow television.
This hypnotic episode features a spherical turtle hero, turning the world of Rollin’ Wild on its head, slowing the slapstick action down to a turtle’s pace. A perfect antidote to doom scrolling, this episode could be played all day long, offering a peaceful, looping escape into the zen-like existence of the animated turtle star.
Kyra Buschor and Constantin Paeplow said, “In a world where the pace of content consumption is ever accelerating, we are excited to present a new approach to Rollin’ Wild. This project is not just a film; it’s a movement towards embracing serenity amidst the ever growing speed of the internet while we are slowing down the tempo of our typical humour to an almost unbearable level which stands in stark contrast to the fleeting nature of today’s media.
We are thrilled to share this very.. very very slow labour of love with you.”
Debbie Crosscup, executive producer at Passion Pictures added, “Kyra and Constantin are masters of finding character and humour in unexpected places. A 'Slow TV' Rollin’ Wild innovates the series putting the round animals in their first feature length appearance and we’re excited to see what they do next”
