Rocket Reignites Belief in the American Dream with Reimagined 'Country Roads' Music Video

Artist Fey Fili and MIRIMAR transform Super Bowl ad into Captivating Music Video

Fey Fili has been quietly making waves with her music. With a voice shaped by the mountains of West Virginia - gritty, honest, and full of heart - she’s been building a following through intimate, powerful songs that echo the place she calls home.

So when financial services company Rocket and independent creative agency MIRIMAR looked to expand the emotional depth of their Super Bowl campaign, Own the Dream, they turned to Fey - not because her star was on the rise, but because her voice felt unmistakably true.

The original :60 spot aired during the second quarter of Super Bowl LIX, reimagining John Denver’s 'Take Me Home, Country Roads' as a unifying anthem that connected to the world's first live Super Bowl singalong in the stadium. It created a real-time moment of connection. But Rocket and MIRIMAR saw the potential to take the story further.

At its heart, Own the Dream is about more than buying a house. It’s about the deeply personal journey toward home - the sense of pride, permanence, and possibility that comes with finally having a place to call your own.

“With Own The Dream, we are reigniting belief in the American dream,” said Jonathan Mildenhall, CMO of Rocket. “Homeownership still matters. It’s still worth dreaming about. And with Fey, we found the perfect voice to bring heart, hope, and humanity to that message.”

Rocket’s mission to 'Help Everyone Home' has never been more urgent, particularly for the next generation of buyers - first-timers, young families, and those side lined by today’s competitive market. With campaigns like Own the Dream, Rocket aims to make the possibility of homeownership more accessible.

“Storytelling can be a powerful tool for equity and opportunity,” continued Jonathan. “Our job is to open the door a little wider - and when you give a platform to the right person, you don’t just tell a story. You start a movement.”

To bring that story to life in a deeper way, Rocket and MIRIMAR released a long-form film - this time anchored by Fey’s raw, soulful version of 'Country Roads.'

“Where I come from up in the mountains of West Virginia, that song is very special,” said Fey. “Even though we’ve all heard it well over a thousand times, we still sing like it’s brand new. It means something here. Being part of this campaign was a way to show what home really means to people like us.”

Directed by Biscuit Filmworks' Matthew Dillon Cohen and shot on film by Chayse Irvin, the film is less of an ad and more of a meditation on memory, place, and the epic and intimate moments of home. Kids running through sprinklers, families gathered in front yards, workers returning home after long days. And running through it all is Fey’s voice—vulnerable, timeless, and deeply human.

“At MIRIMAR, we always unearth the truth inside a big idea,” said John McKelvey, co-founder and chief creative officer. “We knew we had something special with the Super Bowl film, but when we heard Fey’s take on ‘Country Roads,’ it unlocked the soul of the campaign in a whole new way. She made it hers—and in doing so, made it everybody’s.”

“I just want to make enough good music to buy a farm,” Fey says, smiling. “With an orchard and a big garden. That’s the dream. That’s what a lot of us are working for.”
