Geometry Mexico and digital artist Félix Hernández asks 'Who Helps the Red Cross?' with 46,000 volunteer stories
When disaster strikes, those who are affected know the Mexican Red Cross will be there to help. But who helps the Red Cross? Based off this question, the Mexican Red Cross has launched its 2019 National Fundraising Campaign with Geometry Mexico.

The new campaign compiles dozens of stories from Red Cross volunteers, describing events in their careers when they were at risk - even facing life-threatening situations.

These events were not recorded at the time and thus audiovisual material does not exist to accompany the stories. As such, Mexican digital artist Félix Hernández was invited to recreate these moments in hyper-reality to make these stories remain suspended in time.

Félix recreated three models out of the many experiences faced by 46,000 Red Cross volunteers: a flood in Monterrey, Hurricane Wilma and the recent earthquake that hit the Mexican capital city and beyond. The three models will be exhibited and, once the campaign is completed, will be auctioned to raise more funds.

The work was launched following President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the Mexican Red Cross’s official launch of the National Fundraising campaign 2019. Running for two months, it includes television spots, short cinema films, radio, print, outdoor, activation, CRM and social. It has been built with strategic partnerships including production companies Central Films and Hogarth, and Twitter.
