Radio LBB: Yessian's October Favourites

Hello everyone! It’s so great to be back with a new playlist for LBB. For this one I wanted to share some of the tracks that have come out over the past six months and caught my ear.

During this time, just about from the start of things shutting down and everyone self-isolating, we at Yessian Music started doing a weekly playlist with some of our favourite releases of that week. Besides helping give structure to some of the everyday chaos, it’s been a great way to keep on top of new artists and music.

The concept behind the Yessian playlist is we find nine of that week’s best new tracks plus one older gem; usually a deeper cut that we feel deserves to have a light shined on it. For this LBB playlist I wanted to include my favourite of those ‘new-to-me’ discovery songs. The one I included here is an orchestrated psychedelic epic from the second Bee Gees album. 

I also wanted to bookend this playlist with tracks from the band Sault who have put out easily my two favourite albums this year within the span of just a couple of months. Both albums are amazing and full of songs that speak to this moment in a timely yet timeless manner.
