For this year's Digital Week in Nantes, Biborg unveiled their latest installation, "Pursuit of Sound". The interactive installation, which combines music, motion design and choreography, marries the worlds of sound and vision to create a unique experience for visitors.
Held annually, Digital Week (Sept. 19-23), offers the chance for the public at large to view the latest innovations in technology, to experiment, learn, create and reflect on all things digital.
With Pursuit of Sound, visitors used interactive technology to create movements on a screen through their body motions as they move to the music of rapper and artist 20syl (Hocus Pocus, C2C, AllttA), who collaborated on the project.
"Biborg’s Pursuit of Sound project piqued my curiosity. I like the idea of exploring the interactions between physical movement and digital, musical interpretation and games,” explains 20syl.
"We wanted to create a revolutionary experience, which associated different genres- interactivity, motion design, video, by anchoring them in an artistic universe, notably music. We’ve followed 20syl for some time and his digital projects touched us. We asked him to join the Pursuit of Sound project and quickly validated the collaboration, around a common vision of digitally creating links between human interaction, with a notably artistic outlook, all while constructing something that was open and accessible to the public”, Bruno Luriot, CEO Biborg.
