Today, Publicis Sport & Entertainment, part of Publicis Groupe, announces the appointment of Josh Phillips as head of music, a newly created role to support its growing investment in its music offering.
Publicis Sport & Entertainment has for a long time had strong music capabilities, bringing together brands and major artists. At a time where there is increasing drive to collaborate and build strong partnerships in the industry, Phillips’ appointment will allow the business to deliver more specialism to clients. Part of Phillips’ new role will be to drive additional focus on trends within the industry, building further confidence with brands to help deliver innovative and results-driven music partnerships.
Phillips has been promoted following a year as account director within Publicis Sport & Entertainment, and brings a wealth of experience to his newly appointed role. He joined the agency from M&C Saatchi Merlin where he was a talent agent across an eclectic roster focussing on commercial partnerships, radio, TV, publishing, podcasts and live. Phillips also previously held senior international positions at major record labels Universal Music Group and Warner Music, where he managed and developed products, marketing and artist promotion strategies for some of the biggest names in music.
