Global post-production company, POD LDN, worked with Innerspin Marketing to refresh existing product shots for Delizza Patisserie, America’s frozen Belgian dessert brand.
Delizza handed Innerspin Marketing, the Los Angeles-based advertising agency, a brief to shoot new products, and refresh existing shots of its deliciously cream-filled, chocolatey patisserie.
The agency brought POD LDN onboard to deliver retouching services on 36 product images: a combination of silhouetted product shots, hand-only lifestyle product shots, and styled product shots for continued use across Delizza’s consumer and B2B marketing. The shots will run across social platforms, the Delizza and Poppies Master Baker websites, ads on Frozen & Refrigerated Buyer, and marketing collateral, including brochures and one-sheets, as well as potential use for future trade show items like backdrops and signage.
The campaign goes live in August and will be used across consumer and B2B marketing channels. POD’s work included retouching the appearance of condensation droplets on the chocolate to maintain a realistic and appetizing appearance, ensuring colour consistency and enhancing the textures of the chocolates and desserts to make them look more inviting and mouthwatering – for example, adding subtle highlights and shadows to emphasize the layers, fillings, and toppings of the desserts. The brief also included balancing sharpness and softness, removing imperfections such as crumbs, adjusting lighting and maintaining a natural look so that the desserts looked delectable but not over-retouched.
Ensuring that all retouched images aligned with Delizza’s brand aesthetics was crucial. This involved following specific guidelines for the look and feel of the products to ensure that all images fit seamlessly within the brand’s visual identity.
Delizza is known as America’s go-to brand for frozen Belgian desserts, but is not widely known among younger consumers and millennial families. Innerspin Marketing has worked with the brand to increase visibility and drive awareness through appetizing visuals and compelling copy across outdoor campaigns.
