POD LDN has led post production on a new Black Friday ad campaign for Europe’s leader in outlet shopping destinations, McArthurGlen group.
For the online film, POD LDN created hyper-realistic-looking CGI 3D balloons and integrated them into existing drone footage. The look and feel of the eye-catching film was inspired by the hugely popular CGI immersive video format.
The CGI balloon imagery and film will run across the brand’s paid and organic digital, social and CRM channels, as well as in 23 designer shopping outlets across Europe and 1 in Vancouver hosting Black Friday sale events. The aim is to announce events and build anticipation, supporting a wider marketing campaign. The film will run until November 30th.
Jordan Sanderson, McArthurGlen’s senior content manager, said: “It’s been a really fun project to be involved with, along with being an eye-opener to the layers of expertise required to bring this type of asset to life. Not all trends work for all brands but this has been a really rewarding way to repurpose our campaign identity using current digital trends, and to help promote our Black Friday events, which will bring additional savings to our customers on their favorite designer brands – all in time for Christmas.”
Adrienn Major, founder at POD LDN, added: “We were so excited when Jordan and the team approached us for the project. We have been working with them for a while, but until now we haven’t done any CGI/VFX projects together. We have seen many campaigns using the immersive trend, but we think this idea from the client was brilliant, simple, and cut through.”
