As part of its editorial content for Byronesque -- the vintage fashion company that is reinventing the industry in a more modern and irreverent way -- New York-based creative content agency Plus recently collaborated with the company to create a short film featuring Yohji Yamamoto’s Bustle coat from his 1986 Fall collection, with music provided by Zebra Katz. The iconic garment and the very latest music sounds propel the editorial style of the film, precisely syncing with Byronesque’s androgynously chic and contemporary brand. The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum recently purchased the Bustle coat for their archives.
In addition to the short film, Plus captured the essence of Byronesque through still photography and the creation of micro-content for Facebook and Instagram.
“For this collaboration with Byronesque we wanted to create a film working with minimal styling - featuring only a single piece - Yohji Yamamoto’s Bustle coat," said Judy Wellfare, co-Founder and Executive Creative Director of Plus. "We focused on building a visual rhythm exploring the silhouette of the coat. Zebra Katz’ track helped shape the stutter-y and dark editorial style of the film.”
