It's a different world. And we’re a different Crispin.
Meet some of our humans making things happen behind the scenes. We asked them a few questions, with one requirement… to please keep it interesting.
Name, title?
Schuyler Hunt, Creative director (copy)
How do you explain what you do to your family/friends?
With my parents I just send them links of stuff they can watch and go, “oh, that’s fun.” Most of my friends already work in advertising, and they’ve all stopped replying to my texts.
How do you start your day?
I normally wake up around 6am. If there’s nothing crazy I need to do for the work day, I might go on a two-hour bike ride, work on writing adult animated TV show pilots, or stare at Reddit until my eyes begin to bleed.
What’s on your desk right now?
Burt’s Bees, (3) Rick and Morty comic books, a jarring number of coasters, a notebook, a comically large mic for podcasting and a broken PS5 controller.
What would you be doing if you didn’t work in the creative industry?
Starving. Genuinely I don’t know what I would do outside of being a creative in some capacity. I have zero muscle mass, do not follow directions well, and never shut up. What business would hire me?
What's a piece of work that really stood out to you in the last year?
Barbie. It’s not even close. Everything else compared to the Barbie movie is horrible. Convincing a brand to make a movie and having that movie not only be good but possibly shift ‘cultural plate tectonics’. (Which is a phrase I just made up, so everyone start using it.)

What film, TV show or piece of online content do you love that no one else seems to like?
I can’t stop watching archived video recordings of Dan Harmon’s
Harmontown podcast. I had to pay $5 to join their website and download them, but there is nothing more creatively inspiring and occasionally pee-your-pants funny than the creator of Rick and Morty/Community trying to freestyle rap while childhood best friend Rob Schrab relentlessly antagonises him.
How do you apply your creative skills to another area of your life?
Being a writer means I just obsessively edit already-sent text messages to fix embarrassing grammatical mistakes. My career path has run parallel with my passion projects in that I write TV scripts in the morning and then write for brands during the daytime. Like some kind of tardy-creative-reverse-vampire.
What’s your biggest hot take?
I suspect Elon Musk is only following orders.
Anything else you feel like sharing with us?
Yes. A recommendation. If you’re not watching the Golden Bachelor every week over a good 1000-piece puzzle, what are you doing with your life?
