In anticipation of the regional football tournament that starts Saturday January 13th, CANAL+ INTERNATIONAL, with its ad agency BETC Paris, has released a new TV campaign that will air across African countries to announce the launch of CANAL+ CAN, a new dedicated TV channel that will allow fans to follow all the action of the Africa Cup of Nations, until the final game on February 11th 2024*.

A major player of the African TV scene for the last 25 years, CANAL+ is one of the entertainment and sports leaders on the continent. Once again, CANAL+ put the supporters first and is bringing them the full 52 games of the popular competition.

Starting on December 14th, CANAL+ launched a new TV channel, available to all its subscribers, where viewers will be able to watch all the games, talk shows, exclusive documentaries about the history of AFCON and about the host country, Ivory Coast. More than 500 hours of content will air on CANAL+ CAN at no added cost for CANAL+ AFRIQUE subscribers.

In a new campaign, created by BETC Paris and directed by Louis de Caunes (ICONOCLAST), the brand shows how fans prepare for such an intense event that requires everybody - and not only the football players - to be ready. Every supporter in Africa is getting ready for AFCON in their own unique and unexpected way.

The campaign will air on TV in French-speaking African markets until the end of the competition. Along with the broadcast, there will be digital assets (social media, display) to bring all the emotions of AFCON until the final whistle.

*AFCON 2023 was supposed to take place in summer 2023 but was postponed due to weather concerns in Ivory Coast. Even though it will be played in 2024, the original name "AFCON 2023" has been retained.
