With wedding season in full swing and Pinterest searches for 'wedding guest outfit inspiration' up a whopping 3800% year over year, Pinterest is teaming up with Banana Republic as the exclusive partner of Pinterest's first-to-market 'Wedding Week' programming on the platform.
Launched on May 17th, the campaign included a five-day experience featuring a Livestream Shopping Event in San Francisco, Pinterest Premiere Spotlight video takeover, and supplementary content from creators throughout the week. To help people find the perfect look, Banana Republic showcased a series of wedding styles for Pinners to shop - whether they’re looking for trendy wedding guest styles or classic outfits to wear to wedding-related moments like a shower, rehearsal dinner or post-wedding brunch.
To kick-off Wedding Week, the Livestream event took place on May 17th at 5pm PST / 8pm EST from the Banana Republic store on Folsom Street in San Francisco. Creators Lauren Chan, Charlotte Bridgeman and Igee Okafor highlighted Banana Republic's top picks for Wedding Guest Dressing this season. Premiere Spotlight, currently in beta, is Pinterest's first-ever takeover offering that will showcase Banana Republic’s Wedding Guest Styles in a premium, exclusive placement on the Search landing page for 24 hours.
The five-day Wedding Week programming will focus on different aspects of wedding planning, providing Pinners with an abundance of inspiration and ideas to make their own wedding planning or gifting experience as seamless and stress-free as possible. From bridal fashion and accessories to décor and favours, the content will showcase the best products on the market to help turn wedding dreams into reality.
