The wonderful Trunk animation and the hugely talented art collective Peepshow are joining forces in a new creative partnership. Key members from both companies have known each other for years. Indeed, Trunk’s Laya Atkinson and Peepshow’s Pete Mellor both studied together at the R.C.A. Bringing together Peepshows body of talented illustrators and art directors with Trunk’s fabulous directors will widen the creative possibilities of both creative houses. Leading to the ability to successfully handle a myriad of different briefs.
Both Peepshow and Trunk were founded about ten years ago. Both are resident in London and over their working life have worked across illustration, animation, set design, pop promos, textiles, the fine arts, image projection and art direction while also creating their own work for books, exhibitions and events worldwide. Their combined client list includes some of the most prestigious organizations out there a short list includes the Victoria & Albert Museum, M&C Saatchi, BBC, Channel 4, MTV, Universal, EMI, Ogilvy, TBWA, Grey London, Virgin Atlantic, Penguin, Puma and The New York Times.
The new partnership comes from a shared ethos and similar sense of fun. For example, each happily abandons their computers to grab pencils and pens and even cardboard and glue if the job requires it to create beautiful and stunning work, see Chrissie Macdonald’s work for Orange

http://trunk.me.uk/?p=4418 which was a promo for a bottled water concept. Since early 2012 Trunk have also been producing all of Peepshow’s animation work.
Recently Trunk animation have created some very high profile work, highlights include the visuals for Madness’s appearance at this years Diamond Jubilee concert directed by Alasdair + Jock and Rok Predin and the latest pop promo for the Rolling Stones
http://trunk.me.uk/?p=7078. Their directors have been creating some beautiful and innovative shorts. Such as some gorgeous idents and bumpers for Canal+ from Lore&Jun, and a rather amazing video for Diplo by Ryan Staake at Pomp&Clout.
Peepshow has had a very productive and busy year, having just finished an artist residency at Pick Me Up 2012 with their 'Museum of Objects and Origins' show
http://www.peepshow.org.uk/projects.php#TheMuseumofObjects&Origins. They completed a fantastic mixed media installation, commissioned by Vital Arts, for the New Royal London Hospital. This beautiful work follows the route children take on their way to the operating theatre. They, along with Trunk, have just contributed an animation to the new feature film 'A Liar's Autobiography', a loose adaptation of late Monty Python star Graham Chapman's 1980 memoir. The collective have also produced their first book, published by Index, which is a behind the scenes look at their work from the last 10 years.
These two wonderful companies coming together on future projects will lead to some exciting work. Already a major commission from a Russian multinational is underway with the creative’s from both Peepshow and Trunk both concepting and producing the project. Peepshow has previously described themselves in a sentence as “The strength of 10 brains, twenty eyes and one hundred fingers”. This new creative partnership nearly doubles these numbers. What a near two hundred fingered beast will get up to fires the imagination.
