For its annual Christmas film, Passion Animation Studios and directors Tjoff Koong have produced a moving short, The Lights, capturing glimpses into the moments that have brought us together across a year when we have never been more separated. Featuring a newly recorded version of ‘Amazing Grace’ sung by Vimala Rowe and arranged by Luciano Rossi, we see vignettes of life on an ordinary street while the Christmas Lights are being raised.
We see a nurse, recuperating in a bath after a long shift, a mother, baby and grandmother sharing a song over a video call, a recovering patient catches sight of the lights and hears the singing. We see the residents of the street brought together, through their windows, connected by shared experience and the beautiful song that resonates throughout.
With this years film, Passion is supporting the Ringcross Community Centre Foodbank in Islington run by the Alexandra Wylie Tower Foundation. With a predicted 61% rise in demand this year, Passion have chosen to help a foodbank local to the studio that provides supplies to hundreds of families in crisis each week.
