Passion Pictures' Furry Family Returns for New Anchor Summer Ad

Anchor has just released their summer advert for Anchor Spreadable, the third in a series of lighthearted animated films directed by Passion’s Kyra & Constantin and featuring the ‘Hugglers’, a furry family who face all kinds of hilarious trials and tribulations.

In this spot, Dad has landed himself in a sticky situation when his go-to bribe doesn’t go quite right and he ends up stuck in a ball pit, while his daughter Isabella looks on triumphantly.

Kyra and Constantin have mastered the art of creating comedic, imaginative animal (or animal-like) characters that have come to distinguish their style. Their last spot for Anchor, ‘Little Elephant’, won Best Animation at the British Animation Awards.

On creating this third spot, they commented; ‘All 3 Anchor spots feature different Huggler families distinguishable through their fur colours and patterns. But the main theme is always the same - the interactions and conflicts between the different family members. 

‘There were a few technical challenges in this spot – the simulation of the characters’ fur and the ball pit, and also lighting and grading to allow the characters stand out against all of the bright colours. We’re happy with the end result, and really appreciate the great effort the team put into all the little details.’
