DDB Group Aotearoa celebrates the Mediterranean diet in the spot, featuring a young boy who is seemingly older than you'd think
New Zealand’s favourite olive oil-spread, Olivani, is excited to launch the next chapter of their “Forever Young” campaign with DDB Aotearoa. The tongue-in-cheek campaign highlights to consumers the goodness of a Mediterranean lifestyle and the benefits of adding Olivani to their daily diet.  The campaign uses humour to connect with consumers who have a strong affinity with the brand.

In the hero spot, we follow a day in the life of our lead character Gio, a young boy (or so we think) as he goes about life in the Mediterranean. He enjoys Olivani and the benefits of the Mediterranean diet every day, and despite looking like a regular 12-year-old, is in fact much older.

“If you’ve read about the Blue Zones, you’ll know that the Mediterranean lifestyle has a few advantages, so if that didn’t convince you to adopt a Mediterranean diet, we’re hoping Gio and his family might,” says DDB Aotearoa creative director, Freddie Coltart.

Lisa Parslow, senior brand manager for Olivani, said the team wants the campaign to reinforce the brand’s belief that enjoying the simple pleasures in life can help us feel youthful.

“For generations Olivani has been New Zealand’s most beloved olive oil spread, and the campaign promotes the benefits of a Mediterranean lifestyle but also celebrates a joyful approach to living. Because life is better when you feel Forever Young.”
