OkayStudio has added three new editors to its roster: Winnie Cheung, Simon Klinkertz and Marc Soria. The signings reflect the company’s ongoing focus to build tight-knit teams made up of the most exciting creative voices in the industry.
“Our aim has never been to become the biggest,” says Nikolaj Belzer, CEO and co-founder of OkayStudio. “But we do want to be one of the best - creatively, culturally, and in terms of what we offer both artists and clients. Bringing in Winnie, Simon and Marc makes us stronger on all fronts.”
Winnie Cheung brings a bold sensibility to both commercial and narrative work. A Cannes Lion and Ciclope Awards winner, her films have screened at Sundance, SXSW and Rotterdam. She’s also cut for clients like Nike, Google, CocaCola, collaborating with directors Michael Barth & Pham, Elena Vazintaris and Toddy Stewart - always finding rhythm and resonance in unexpected places. With a background in directing and experimental film, Cheung’s editorial eye offers something intuitive and lyrical.
Berlin based Simon Klinkertz is known for his bold, emotionally tuned approach to editorial - a style that’s helped shape campaigns for Mercedes-Benz, Versace and Google. Trusted by some of the industry’s most visionary directors including Dorian & Daniel, Stini Roehrs and Giordano Maestrelli, Klinkertz’s collaborative approach to storytelling and innate creativity makes him an outstanding editor for our roster.
His recent project ‘The First Speech for Reporters Without Borders’, a visceral, cinematic PSA, won the Grand Prix for Good at the Cannes Lions. It also took home Gold for 'Best New Talent' at Ciclope and had five wins at the Deutscher Werbefilmpreis, further cementing his position as one of Germany’s most distinctive young editorial voices.
Marc Soria brings a cinematic eye to commercial work, with credits across Amazon, Estrella Damm, Volkswagen and Cupra. Having edited seven feature films, he brings a deep understanding of narrative flow to every project. Based in Barcelona, his collaborations with some of Spain’s most respected directors - including Nacho Gayan, Erik Morales, Lope Serrano and Nicolás Méndez - showcase his ability to balance visual flair with character-led storytelling. From luxury fashion to car commercials, Soria has been able to elevate work with a strong sense of story across a range of formats.
EP and commercial director, Jack Howard comments, “There are good editors and then there are great editors, and I’m incredibly excited to welcome three of the best: Winnie, Simon and Marc. They’re stand out additions to the OkayStudio roster and I’m looking forward to working closely with them in 2025 and beyond.”
