OkayStudio give their creative department another boost as they announce an exclusive partnership with SEC Studio in Berlin. Florian Staerk will be represented exclusively in the UK with Ruth Wardell moving onto the SEC Studio roster in Germany.
Florian’s comments: “It’s almost two years since I first met Nikolaj, and he and the team at OkayStudio left quite an impression on me. I followed them closely and really liked their approach, spirit and the creative talent they are working with. Getting the chance to work within the OkayStudio community of clients, agencies, creators and storytellers is something I am truly grateful for. I am very excited to have the opportunity to be represented by them in the UK and to be a part of the OkayStudio team.”
Nikolaj Belzer, founder and MD of OkayStudio, adds, “We have been talking to Florian for a while now. Looking at his work it’s pretty obvious what an immense talent he is. He is one of these rare artists that can bring out the best in every frame while always being incredibly subtle about it - always in support of the story to tell. Add to that the fact that he is not only very mature as a colourist but an incredibly friendly personality to be around. It didn’t take long for us to decide that he would be a great fit. I think he really adds to our offering for UK clients and we can’t wait to add to his impressive portfolio from this side of the channel.”
Josh Sanders, executive producer of OkayStudio, adds, “Growing a world-class colour department takes time and we’re delighted to finally have Florian on board here at OkayStudio. Florian’s work speaks for itself. His photographic sensibility and attention to detail is second to none. There is a uniqueness to his work that is understated but never under appreciated. His work is timeless, considered and crafted to perfection. We’re looking forward to partnering him with our clients and broadening our services once again via the UK studio.”
Ruth Wardell, colourist at OkayStudio, adds: “I’ve been following the work coming out of Germany over the past few years and have been really impressed with the level of creativity. I’ve also been fortunate enough to work with some amazing talent already including Paul Herrmann, Maik Schuster, Thomas Van Kristen, Maximilian Pittner, and Daniel Sannwald. With our new suite opening in Berlin recently, I’m looking forward to more frequent visits and collaborating with our partners at SEC Studio.”
