Philadelphia’s new It’s Simply Better campaign by Ogilvy UK launches nationwide this week, celebrating the quality taste of the UK's favourite cream cheese. The light-hearted multi-channel campaigns reminds the UK that a simple spread of Philly can transform the everyday into something seriously special. The visuals feature mouth-watering visuals alongside relatable messages to remind shoppers that Philadelphia’s delicious taste elevates whatever snack, meal or moment you put it in.
The activity includes a partnership with Ritz Crackers with the roll-out of corresponding OOH posters. One advert shows Ritz biscuits by themselves, paired with another advert next to it that sees the biscuits now accompanied by delicious creamy Philadelphia. Between them, the two placements state that if there’s “one thing we can all agree on... it’s simply better with Philadelphia”.
The campaign for the UK’s number one cream cheese brand breaks nationwide this week. Activity will run across Online video, OOH and Social until late April and is supported by in-store and owned channels.
“This campaign has made Philly and Ritz a dream team. Philadelphia is all about the taste. Whether you’re trying to elicit a smile from a sulky teen, be there for a friend in need, or just binge-watching box-sets – a bagel, a slice of toast or your favourite cracker is simply better with Philadelphia. Fact.” Andy Davis, Creative Director
Additionally, in a move that’s sure to attract attention, Philadelphia have hi-jacked food-themed street signs in London, driving home the message that the likes of Bread Street, Sandwich Street and Salmon Street would be Simply Better with Philadelphia.
Nancy Galvin, Brand Manager for Philadelphia UK said, “We’re delighted to launch our new Philadelphia campaign, using mouth-watering visuals to highlight the high quality and delicious taste Philadelphia is known and loved for, with targeted copy to drive relevance and emotional connection with consumers. Our delicious food-focused visuals showcase that whatever the meal and whatever the moment, ‘it’s simply better with Philadelphia’.”
