NOMINT, Across the Pond and Google Creative Lab have created a series of launch videos for Chrome Super Sync Sports, Google’s awesome new online racing game. NOMINT directed and animated the 60 sec launch video and five 30 sec shorts promoting the project. Production of the videos lasted throughout the month of February and was based on Rami Niemi’s fantastic illustrations for the online game.
The videos tell the story of vintage moustached track superstar Mo and his gang of quirky characters who race against each other, constantly egged on by their coach.
Christos Lefakis Creative Director of NOMINT says: ‘We had a fantastic time working on this fun brief. We worked really closely with the brilliant minds of Google Creative Lab to create a launch video for the amazing Super Sync Sports project. This is our second collaboration with the wonderful people of ATP following last year’s Google Art Project. We are very pleased that we keep making such interesting and creatively diverse work together.’
Steve Vranakis Executive Creative Director of the Google Creative Lab says: 'Nomint created a spectacular animated world that captured the fun and excitement of Super Sync sports brilliantly.’
Google’s latest Chrome experiment turns smartphones and tablets into gaming controllers. Up to 4 friends (or archrivals) can sync and face off in a fierce running-swimming-cycling competition. Apart from the sheer joy of racing a dust ball against a medium rare T-bone steak or a breathmint against an anchor tattoo, the game is an excellent finger training routine.’
