NFL Stars Go Undercover Ahead of the Super Bowl in Teaser Spots

The NFL has officially released two teaser videos, created by 72andSunny and packed with NFL stars, that gears up fans for its epic Super Bowl LVII hero spot. The teasers aired during the weekend of the AFC and NFC Championships this weekend (and now, we know who’s going to the Big Game!):

In the first teaser, Cam Heyward (Pittsburgh Steelers) & Aidan Hutchinson (Detroit Lions) pose as hotel bellhops, disguising their voices to clearly get into a mystery hotel room.

In the second teaser, Sauce Gardner (NY Jets) & Jalen Ramsey (LA Rams) are also mysteriously disguised as security guards, waiting (and making it clear “you can never have too much sauce!”) for the right moment for some unknown incident.

The NFL stars are clearly in hot pursuit of something, but to find out what that special something is…audiences will have to stay tuned to see the blockbuster spot after the Apple Music Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show.

The teasers and full commercial, created by 72andSunny, are directed by two-time Oscar-nominated writer/director Bryan Buckley, dubbed the ‘King of the Super Bowl’, who has directed more than 65 Super Bowl commercials to date. Many pieces of Buckley's work have been inducted into the Museum Of Modern Art's permanent collection and he is an esteemed recipient of the DGA award, multiple Emmy awards, and over 60 Cannes Lions - including two Grand Prix wins in 2019.

Tim Ellis, NFL chief marketing officer, said this about the teasers, “We’re incredibly excited to debut our biggest piece of creative for the year. It’s going to be fun, exciting and action-packed, but most importantly, the creative is strategically grounded in one of our most important long-term strategies. We look forward to the world seeing the spot right after the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.”
